Kingfisher
20D, 400/2.8 + 2x, ISO400, 1/640 @ f10, Partial Metering, Hide, A-327 + 393, ACR4.1 + CS3.

Hi,

Had a lot of trouble motivating myself over the weekend, but on Saturday I managed to get an early start to see if I could manage some Kingfisher images, I am tending to get by day by day and not planning anything at the moment....

One of the nice things about this unsettled weather is that the lighting changes almost constantly, here a shaft of golden sunlight broke through the clouds to light the bird and perch, the bg is the grey sky reflected of the water.....

All the best

Phil

Hi Phil,

Another top image as usual :toast:

Glad to see you are getting out, it is had to drag yourself out some days i know and sometimes even harder to return home with a great image that you would usually share, i miss my rosie giving me great encouragement on my mediocre shots and found myself losing the motivation to get out and take shots, however sharing with the people on sites like this can make all the difference and i for one always look forward to clicking on a uknp post when i know its one of yours.

Regards
Brian

Really lovely Phil. Grey sky is wonderful and really brings out the detail and colours.

Hi Phil,

Lovely shot :toast:

Judging from this Summer's current weather conditions I think the only things finding maximum motivation to get out and about are the ducks

Hi Phil

Cracking image - if you need any motivation next weekend, just turn on your PC and take a look at what you did last week-end!

Just to quickly thank you all for your kind Comments, greatly appreciated at this time. Hopefully sooner rather than later I can start to get myself properly organised and pick up things from where I had to leave them, although most projects that I had planned will now have to wait till next year.

Wishing you all the very best.

Gorgeous shot Phil, I echo comments about seeing your name and always clicking on it - one of the true talents on this forum.

Hope you're holding up well.

Best wishes,
