Stac Pollaidh
Thought I'd jump on the NW Highlands Tourist Brochure bandwagon, shot of Stac Pollaidh taken last August as a storm was brewing, and yes, I got very wet soon afterwards but confirmed that the weather sealing on the D200 does work.

Nice shot John, it has a totally prehistoric look to it! Great timing catching the clouds aligned like this and good exposure too. Tristan

A very moody image John, although I might crop a little off the bottom IMO.

Regards Chris.

Very moody image - the position of the cloud makes it look a little like a smoking volcano!

Hi John,

A place I know well, and a lovely evocative shot of it.

Have to agree with David - with the cloud formation it looks like a volcano  Not too sure about the depth of the black layer at the bottom - I'd probably end up cropping some of it off (and spoiling the shot in doing so)

aww they took the words right form my mouth....was about to say looks like a volcano..maybe if the NW highlands TB don't want it you could sell it to the chileans.
