I have moved house down to Devon now and have finally got my internet access back, so thought I'd post an image taken during all this wet stuff we've had.
Techs:
Nikon D2X, 28-100MM @ 30mm, polariser, 1 stop grad to balance sky, 055proB, 501 head, 1/5th sec at F22, ISO 100, M-UP, remote
C and C welcome.
Regards Chris

Great first attempt Chris. I find streams to be one of the hardest types of landscapes to photograph. You have some really interesting rocks in the lower left of the stream - I would be tempted to see if you can get closer and use them as your main foreground interest. Perhaps set your tripod up over the stream so it is flowing directly towards you which may give more impact. I would also perhaps forget about the background here and simply shoot the stream. In my opinion it is by far the most interesting part of this landscape so I'd keep it very simple and eliminate anything that distracts or that clutters the composition. Just some thoughts, Tristan
Alan and Nick - Lol, yep I noticed some dust bunnies after I posted the image, so I deleted it and reposted, and cut and paste the techs and explanation to save time. Cheers Nick.
Tristan - Thanks for your comments, I went back the next day in heavy rain and stood in the stream to take some more which I feel worked better, but the distant BG was misty from the rain so I may venture back out again at some point - I will post the result if I go back.
Thanks and regards
Chris.

On with the pic................
Love the water with fantastic motion. And it leads the eye nicely up the hill.
