Ok, here is one of my last photos from Sparks Lake. I was right down on the lake when the sun finally decided to make an appearance on the face the South Sister. This is what I Got. Please let me know what you think. This is a crop from horizontal, with a couple of Luminosity masks applied, and a curves mask for overall color correction.
Beautifully calm shot. The compo is pleasing, although I find the bottom a tad cramped. Biggest issue is the obvious halo around the anchor rock. A very serene shot overall.

Personally I don't feel at all obliged to extract so much detail from the shadows. My expectation would be in real life, that rock should be pretty dark in early morning light. It appears your brush strokes on the mask to lighten the rock also lightened the surrounding water in places.
I like 2nd version but unlike some others, I think a little lighter works better. Dark like this distracts and pulls the attention down for me, but great shot !!

Much better! I like the mist on the water in the distance. Hadn't noticed it before due to the distracting lightened rock in front. Definitely a spot worth returning to on a regular basis.

Nice reflection image Brian. I would prefer the first one best but the minor halo around the rock is a little distracting. If you can fix that without going quite so dark I think that is prefered. Regardless it's a nice clean image. Thanks for sharing.

Fix the distracting halo around the rock and you got a wall hanger... even if the rock has to go dark, the photo works.
