While everyone else (it seems) has been over in the San Juans the past week, I unfortunately needed to stick closer to the Front Range. Decided to head up Mt. Evans for sunrise earlier this week. Had always tried sunset up there and figured I'd give sunrise a shot having been clouded out the last few visits I'd made. This is a two image stitch made with PanoramaMaker.
Beautiful shot, Doug. I agree with Todd - the calm of the lake and warmth of the light have a strong sooting effect. And it seems like the processing in your more recent shots has been excellent. Not that it wasn't good before, but it seems like you've stepped it up a notch recently!
