If you haven't seen it in a while, or if you've never seen it, you owe it to yourself to rent "West Side Story". The music is great, the dancing is great and the scenes are wonderfully composed.
Peggy rented it for me recently, knowing that the sound track was one of my favorites. I've watched it three times in the last two days. I put it on loud so I can be about the house listening to the music. It's totally classic.

I agree - I remember my daughter's class in high school putting on their own performance and they loved the story..

For sure, Mark - not to mention that the "street dance" style (crouching, walking sideways in formation, steep camera angle) has been copied in countless movies, music videos, TV commercials... huge sea change in how musicals were made.
The Hairspray remake is supposed to be very good, if comedy/musicals are your thing.
