Yankee Boy
I should have heeded Grant's info about the sub-par flowers at Yankee Boy, but haven't been there in 10 yrs (a trip from NY) so i had my heart set on a revisit. It's still a beautiful place to go to, so long as you're off the road during the day!

I stretched my legs at Dillon Pinnacles on the way home.

That's the great ting about the West. Back in the Smokies, once the rhododendrons are gone, there's nothing to shoot but green mountains til the fall colors start. In Colorado, even if you can't find decent flowers to shoot on a late-July day, there's still plenty of material to find.

I like the YB shot. Nice texture to the water and a sprinkling of color mixed in with the rich green. I was disappointed with the flowers too. Really disappointed with the crowds but that's to be expected I guess.

Hope you got to some other hot spots!

Sorry to hear about the sub-par display, but the YBB shot is still pretty darn nice.
