This weekend Peggy, Ellen and I spent the night at Dollar Lake, just off the Timberline Trail on Mt Hood. Nothing really cool, photographically, happened but I thought this photo was nice.

I'd seen that lake on the map before, but I've never been out there. That's awesome that you can saddle up the family and hike out to camp for the night like that.
There's some really cool stuff going on in the distant layers and the way it's framed by the V in the treeline. Looks like a wallhanger waiting to happen under the right conditions (good light and no lake ripples).

I have also heard of this place but yet to get there. Looks like a nice place. I like the top half of this image with the trees and mountains in the BG.
Mmmm, dreamy spot to camp with family.
I like this, Mark, except for the dark band across the middle. Any way of bringing out even just a little more detail there?
