For all you Google-o-philes and map freaks. You know who you are...

Google Earth has recently added hi-res imagery for all of Colorado!

Yes! I use GE more than Topo! to check the lay of the land. This will make it even more fun.

I heard this from one of our Google Earth developers here at work this morning. Cool!
It's pretty neat to see trails in the images. Great visualizer!

Sweeeeet!

I use TOPO and MapSource for importing trails to the GPS, but that's about it. Most recon is done on Google Earth. When I think about how much $$$ I have tied up in three different map programs (Nat'l Geographic, TOPO USA and MapSource) and then think of what Google Earth offers up for free...crazy.

Cool, I was a little bummed that the Silverton area is hi-rez with snow :frown: . It's bearutiful, but you can't see the trails.
