Hey everyone! Thought I'd share some trip photos from my day hike this past Sat. to the summit of Mt. Agassiz above Bishop Pass. Nothing in the way of "artistic" photography but just some quick snaps. Not looking for critiques, just sharing the good times. Hope you enjoy them.....

I have never heard of Mt. Assiz either. Looks beautiful. I was surprised to see that there was still some snow left. Thank you for sharing.

Never been there, but looks really beautiful and photographically interesting to visit.

I hadn't heard or it either until about 2 years ago. It's part of the Pallisade Group. From the summit we were looking straight down on the Palisade glaciers. I would highly recommend taking a hike into this area!
Really looks great, Cory. Nice to see all the blue in the sky, water in the lakes, and even some snow left this late in the season. I appreciate you posting them, as the area is out of my reach nowadays after my severe ankle break a few years ago. I'm still good for about 4 miles in and out, but it has to be moderate level stuff. Thanks again, all really great from a documentary point of view for sure.

Bummer about your ankle Paul. Four miles in would put you pretty darn close to Bishop Pass. I think it's like 5-6 miles to the Pass from the South Lake parking lot. Glad you enjoyed them.

Cory,
Thanks for sharing the images from your hike. Beautiful country and I'm quite envious! Actually going to be at Mosquito flats and on to Little Lakes Valley on the 13th. Can't wait!

Note Mt Agassiz itself is shown in agassiz.17 and .18. The easiest access from a road and probably most popular climbed Sierra peak over 13.5k. Put my name in that register way back in August of 1981. ...David
