I shot this over my pond when we had a low fog coming off the pasture behind us. I like the reflections of the trees and the natural sepia tone of the sunrise. Shot last week.

This is pretty nice, Merle. I like the sepia feel to the light. Very nice!
Merle, this is a really nice shot with a lot of mood. I really like the fog layer between the lake and the trees.

The fog laying low on the ground and the mirror smooth surface of the pond reflects the scene nicely Merle, well done! BTW, I like the gold tones of this scene too.
Thank you all for your kind comments. This was an early morning looking out the kitchen window with my coffee thinking, "Boy, that sure looks pretty". The next thought was, "Get your camera you dumb smuck". I now notice a couple of sun spots on the island in the center of the shot. I will clone them out before I print it.
Merle nice image. I wish I had that view outside my kitchen window. An idea for you, I think for a nice series I would shoot this same shot framed exactly the same way in different seasons and different lighting conditions. It would be very easy since this it your home and would be something your house guest might enjoy also.
Gale, Good idea about the seasonal series. Only bad part is our home is for sale. We built our current home 6 years ago and love it, but, we recently bought 12 acres near the Missouri River bluffs and will be building again as soon as this one sells. Maybe a series out there ?
Bill, Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it...

Beautiful shot Merle - very serene, and the amber/golden hues are eye catching!
