Ethereal Blue Mountain *Looking for opinions on this one*
I trying to decide between the original or cropped version of this image, here is the original.

5D
17-40L + 2 stop ND grad
1.5 minutes, f/16, ISO 100

I did a little perspective work, then cropped this.

Zach,

I would leave the right side alone and only crop about another half inch from the left side to get ride of the large dark trees....

Then print it...send it to me...and I will hang it on the wall.... :toast:

The emphasis on the clouds in the second one is better, but to me there is too much lake taking up the bottom of the picture. I'd crop right below the reflection of the summit to give it just a little more of a landscape feel.

Here is a crop incorporating both Darren and Bryan's suggestions.

Looks great as edited, Zack. Glad you didn't take more off the bottom - I like the vague reflection in the lake. This is bordering on an abstract - really nice! Of course, I'm a sucker for cool clouds...

Wow, very cool. I like all three versions, but improvements as you go down the page. I could see this one being painted by someone good and selling for big $$, of course, you getting credited for the photo and pocketing some dough . . .

That 3rd one is great to me Zack. I can't see anything else I would change with it. Nice sweeping cloud image!

#3 Zack, but they are all great

# 3 does it.

#3 is sweet.

#3 all the way. It's too bad the clouds weren't behind the mountain though. That would have turned this spectular image, into an unbeatable image!

I am of no help, Zack. I like either of the first images a lot.

#3 is sweet. I'd be tempted to make the mountain stand out a little more by some dodging and burning here and there above the treeline.

They're all great, but if I had to choose #3 is the one.

I like the expanse of #1 actually. More atmosphere there. Awesome effect, one of my faves in a while here.

I love this shot !! I'd actually crop a tad more from the left, Zack... for me it flows better without the dark trees at the edge of the frame. Stunning shot.
