At midnight last night, i was really more anxious to sleep than taking a well-composed photo, but i couldn't resist a couple exposures of this storm over Pueblo West. Here's my question for you camera experts: Why was the ugly weed doubled? There was little wind, and the tripod was still, in my other couple of shots there was no 'doubling'. The only thing i can figure is the lightning lit it from different sides/angles, so maybe the reflected light came in differently

Stan, even though there was little wind, it wouldn't take much to move those long branches, and they were therefore exposed by two different bursts of lightning when they were in two different positions.
I went out last night, too, and got a few bolts. That was quite a storm!

I missed the best of the show because I got too close and was inundated with rain, but oh well. It was a great show to watch.
Yeah, its funny, i only got a few drops but further west/south they got over an inch--very slow moving stuff. More rain to come--next couple days look pretty wet, then the monsoon.
