Yours truly in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness last Tuesday morning. I had four days in the wilderness with the worst lightning, hail and rain I have ever seen. This was taken first thing in the morning with best light I had seen.

That's an awesome view up there. I recently talked to Jack, who was just up there too. "Apocolyptic" was the word he used to describe the weather in the area.

Great shot, Tarzan. When do we get to see more?

What rain? It looks pretty clear!
I can imagine what it's been like up there if it's been anything like around the front range.
Great view, thanks for posting. One more future location to add to the list.

Sounds like dramatic weather was the norm last week. Hopefully it made for some dramatic mid-day shots.

Hey Jody... we probably just missed each other! Where did you go? (I see this was from somewhere near Willow/Buckskin). I did the 4-pass loop, clockwise, Sunday - Thursday. So I guess Tuesday I woke up in Fravert Bason. The weather was downright scary at times. Lots of hastily packing up my camera and running for cover.

This is a nice shot. Having you posing in the photo really makes it. Classic Colorado! :toast:

This is an excellent stock shot and would look right at home in Backpacker Magazine
