One of my images from last Sunday. What an awesome trip! I had great company, and the Gifford Pinchot Forest is so beautiful. This shot was cropped on all sides to some degree to draw attention the wonderful cascades there. There is a thin sheet of almost invisible water that flows over the rock to form this.
If you look closely in the upper left hand corner, you will see a tiny white "plus" sign - what that is, and this just kills me, is a perfect, tiny cascade falling into a tiny white splash and the reflection of the cascade completes the bottom of the plus sign... It looks totally wild viewing it on the full sized version.

And this, is why we call you Falls instead of Ned. Absolutely gorgeous photo! I almost hate to nit this, but it does feel somewhat cramped on the right, but if you were to send me a really big print, I could judge it better...
Ned, have to agree with Curtis, I like it with the log better. But the processing is perfect-perfect-perfect.

Stunning, Ned, absolutely stunning. The details and exposure are intense. My only suggestion would be to crop a tad from the top, just above the white area in the center, above the main set of falls.

Yes, the expsoure is right on the money here. Nice image Ned. It does feel a hair off balance having room on the left and none on the right, but it's minor.

Hi Ned, love the shutter speed you used here. The details in the falls is really nice.

This is a great looking shot Ned. That is amazing about that little fall, I bet the fullsize is really something to see. I do feel it is a tad right side heavy, but the beauty and smoothness of the fall is probably enough for it not to matter.

I love those long, ropy cascades. I know this had to be the look you were going for and you nailed it. I can stare at water like this all day long. I didn't notice the plus sign until I read your comments, but I still don't feel that it is a terrible distraction. Like Jeremy mentioned, the falls themselves are so attractive that I tend not to notice much else.
Ned,
Nice capture and exposure on the water. I feel like i would like to see a tad more on the right side but I also understand that it might not have been possible. I like it!

It's kind of impressionistic, Ned - I like it, including the tight crop on the sides. It might work to crop a bit off the bottom (middle of the lower, submerged rock), and make it even more of an abstract.
