Anyone ever sell an image to Sunset magazine? If so, what is their payment range for an 1/8 page, one time use (Oct mag), North America, with 1.5 million circulation? Thanks for any help

Reno:
I used to do a lot with sunset before they changed photo editors. They've gone somewhat fashonista in photo style; lots of high key, high contrast, midday light, isolated focus, yada yada yada. Standard Rates are a bit low, but you can always invoice them for what you would charge. FWIW, Sunset has 9 separate regional issues, and only some of the content goes into all regions. So not always will the circ be 1.5 mil. Usually use is for one or two regions, and the circ. for those is much lower. If your photo is unique, stick to what you feel is fair value based on use. If very generic, at an 1/8 page, their standard rates probably wouldn't be too insulting. Spot rates generally run in the 100-200 range for similar types of publications.
