Testing the limits of CS3 today...
This is made up of 13 different shots...Found this nice little creek today....which I fell into....and my camera...but thanks to good reflexes...my camera was out as fast as it went in...
NEVER use Columbia Sportsware shoes for hiking on went rocks...NEVER
Anyway, like I said, this was just for fun...but am curious to get your take on it......
thanks

I think this framing is interesting...it doesn't bother me that you can't see the bottom of the larger falls. I like how it disappears and the stream reamerges around the bend on the right side and leads down to the smaller cascades. I do wish those leaves weren't blocking part of the falls, but that is minor. I like this.
Huh, I don't remember that little drop being down there. Very nice take on the scene, exposure and processing look about as closet to spot on as you can get. Maybe brighten the LLC just a tiny bit so that one rock isn't fading into nothingness.

Looks like a great job of merging 13 images together to me. The whole feels nice except for the LL left corner as Bryan noted. Just feels a little too dark compared to the rest. Otherwise an overall nice flowing image, literally.

nice one Darren. ditto the comments about the LLC. Looks like I need to take advantage of the student pricing before the kids are out of school

Great work, Darren - very nice!

I like the shot. I also identify with fast reflexes saving a camera. I find it amusing that we will risk breaking bones and what not, just to save our cameras. I've taken some very awkward falls in order to protect my equipment.
Hi Darren. I think this is a really enchanting image. Spellbinding. Yah, it's darn dark in the lower left, but I still love the image. What if you tried croppping from the bottom a little less than half way into the LL boulder. Just an idea. The more I look at this image, the more I'm drawn to it. The depth, movement and complementary colors are great. Thanks for posting.

I actually think this is fabulous Darren, in fact with a little work this could my favorite image of yours. Just have to fix that LLC. Great work!

Ok ok ill go in and see what I can do to the LLC......
thanks for all the great comments. I really did not think CS3 was going to be able to put it together, but it did.....and now I have more ideas working upstairs!!!!!!

Wow, that is very nice. I really like the redirection from side to side as my eye anticipates the direction of flow.

So Darren, are you going to work on that LLC?

What I wanna know is how you got over there, Darren! That's like a 10-15 foot drop past the little falls in the foreground -- but worth it! I noticed that a bit of the trail down to the falls was slipping away when I was there in May, too. Hopefully it won't become impassable.

Tom,
it was not easy....it took a bit of planning and trust....on my shoes part.....you are right...I am guessing after this winter it might not be possible to get down here anymore....the trail, if you will is becoming the hillside at one of the steepest points....
Mark, thanks....the colors are off a bit but its as close as I could get them after CS3 blended them and color matched them and such....I wish I could get these files to open in ACR so I could adjust the temp a bit

Wow, 13 shots! Pretty cool. It is really beautiful and a wall hanger for sure. I think I would fix the LLC and may be the vinetting a bit first. Nicely done.

Thanks Jeremy...I put the Vinetting in there on purpose....I liked the darker edges on the top...
Ok I fixed the LLC to the best of my Photoshop ability....let me know what you think
Thanks

It kinda looks like the bottom of the rock doesn't belong there, is it a clone or cut and paste? What about if you re-compile the image and just expose it bright and paint it in....? Like this though, I'd prefer that it was left untouched. It's a very cool shot.

The bottom part of the rock is where the water is going over it...that is causing the blur
no cut and paste at all.
I just lightened it up and added a bit of yellow to give it a warmer feel
