I know this is probably one of the most common views in the Portland area. Two weeks ago I went to see the sunset from the Women Forum and met several wonderful photographers there. I hope some of them will recognize me now. They already posted their photos and I didn't really have guts to post mine.
However, today I decided to do it and here it is.
The equipment: Nikon D200 and Nikon 70-200 VR. No filter.
There was a discussion on a different photo forum (a Polish forum where I have posted for years) where some photographers suggested that I should have included the rock base in the frame, in other words extend the frame to include more bottom part. I kind of disagreed, but I still wonder what you guys think. In my opinion the frame includes what I wanted to show, and lowering the bottom to include the rock base would have a different message.
But this is only my modest opinion, I am still learning and I may be simply wrong.
Thank you,
Cezar Mart

Cezar,
This is a great photo and you have captured the light well...I like the light in the windows....
After seeing Jeremy's shot with the perfect clouds....it will be a tough one to match up to.....
I would crop about one to one and a half inches off the top.....

Hello Cezar,
It was Rick and I you met up there. This is a great shot man. I think you captured light well and the layers in the background are very cool. Good to see you posting up, keep it up.
Nice to meet you again Jeremy
Let me know when you go shooting again...

Beautiful scene, Cezar. It's just a bit dark and slightly over-saturated for me on Crown Point, proper - but the clouds and mood are outstanding. Very nice!

I think this is a fine image. I would not crop the top. The clouds help hold together this piece IMO.

Surprisingly I didn't saturate anything. It's the Sun that did it!

Darned over-saturating sunlight..! There must be a filter that prevents nature from being so natural-colored...
This is nice. I think the sky is a bit muted, though; specifically after seeing other's from that same day .I'd increase the highlights and color and in the sky to get it to pop a little more.
