........thought I'd do something really different and post a video framegrab from tonight.
Thought I'd take the XL2 out tonight to try and get a snippet of fox footage from a stubble field that was combined yesterday and is now full of big round bales of straw.
As I haven't got a baited area on the go at the moment I had to do my impression of a squealing rabbit - worked a treat and this little lady came bowling across the stubble at a great rate of knots.
I had the 100-400L lens mounted and extended to 400mm, and tracked her all the way in until she stopped by a bale about 20 yards away - which is as close as I expected her to come before either 'winding me' or just losing interest.
I was quite surprised when she started to come closer to me and I was frantically trying to zoom back out, in the end she was about 15 feet from me and I was down to 100mm and this is an image from just a second before she decided I wasn't representing much of a main meal:biggrin:

Not an image for critique - just as a bit of fun really

For anyone interested techs are:

Canon XL2+100-400mmLIS lens
XE mount adaptor
0db Gain, 1/60th @ f11
16:9 aspect ratio/50i frame rate
Ronsrail + Miller Arrow HD head and carbon stix

Cheers :toast: :toast:
