I have a Canon 180L Macro lens and I'm thinking of maybe getting an extension tube or indeed tubes to use with it. Seeing as I have no experience with ex.tubes can anybody recommend what I should be looking for?

Thanks

The set of three Kenko ones are great. Being in a set of 12mm, 20mm and 36mm they're very versatile allowing you to use whichever tube is required.
They're also cheaper than the Canon ones and serve exactly the same purpose.

I have been using Jessops recently and they work well-as they have no glass its not a quality issue-obviously canon are better made

Hi Paul,

I got a set of Kenko extension tubes off of ebay from urgalaxy, they come from Hong Kong arrived two days after I ordered them and are cheaper than the UK!!

I, too, use the Kenkos, as recommended by folks here. No problems, although sometimes they struggle to autofocus using more than one tube. Can occasionally be a bit annoying when trying to photographing, say, small butterflies using two tubes. Not sure how the Canons would autofoucs when stacked?

Simple answer has to Kenko, work well, cheap and much more versatile than Canons own very expensive tubes, all respect to Jeremy but C/U you really should be looking at manual focus, but my 300/4 with all three tubes will still AF accurately if needed.
