Hello folks. Does anyone out there have any experience with tiny portable printers which run on battery power? Like the Canon Selphy CP730 or similar? We are going to Bali in September, and are thinking we might want to get one of these... something which can be used in the field to quickly make a 4" x 6" color print to give to local people captured in a photo... kind of like a modern polaroid... stick in a memory card (or hook directly to the camera) and out comes a small print. Quality doens't have to be amazing, of course.

Might be a good alternative to always forking out $ ?

Any hints? Suggested models?

Thanks very much,

The best deal is at Walmart. The Kodak 600 printer is dye sub, high quality, and compact. You can buy a battery for it from Walmart.com and other places. The printer alone is just under a hundred bucks. It's a good little printer and the rechargeable battery option makes it very portable.
