I would like to recommend a brand new book by:

John and Barbara Gerlach entitled:
Digital Nature Photography-The Art and the Science.

It certainly ranks up with John Shaw's books, but also its right
up-to-date.

Thanks for recommending this book! I just finished it and it is, by far, the best book on digital photography I’ve read. I only hope some of it sinks in.
