My plans had been to head out for a week in SW Colorado last Friday, but the forecasts looked rather dismal for tent camping. Now I'm glad I held off!

This happens more often than you know on Red Mountain Pass, its happened twice to me before. One time the slide was a good 400m+ wide across the road and about 8ft high in places.
