Just to prove that I take pictures of something other than Spiderwort, here is a trio of Liverleaf, I think, that I found in Lost Valley this spring. I bumped into Bill Dark on this day who was also doing battle with the wind and trying to catch up with the swaying blooms.

I remember the day well, Dale. Looks like you found some beautiful blooms along the way. Nice work!

I keep thinking about getting one of those diffuser tents that I've heard so much about. They're pretty good at blocking most of the wind, if it's not too strong. One handy item I often use is a circular diffuser that softens the bright sunlight, and can be used to bounce the light for a little added fill in the shade. Works like a charm is is pretty lightweight too.

Dale, nice shot, I like the way the two flowers in the background or out of focus but yet add balance to the photo.

The tents do look useful Bill. Tim E. let us use his at the last workshop I attended. I have a black/silver reflector now and have the diffuser on the "wish list." Along with the pack horse to carry the ever growing camera bag!

Thanks Tom. I am pleased with how this came out. Getting one flower to stand still and be in focus that day was hard enough. We do not have these flowers here so I was happy to get a good image of some while down south.

Dale, this has a bit of 3D feel to it. Nice comp and good shooting for such tough conditions. :wavey:
