Trillium, Clouds and Hood
A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were driving back from an outing in the MHNF. As we driving on the south east side of Mt. Hood, I noticed some weird looking clouds surrounding Hood. I decided to take a little detour and head down to Trillium Lake by the dam. I realize this area has been shot to death but I just couldn't resist with the clouds as they were. I also captured some close up shots of the Mountain with the clouds engulfing the mountain that looked pretty cool.

Great shot, Erik! It's a bit soft on my monitor, but otherwise gorgeous!

I'm pretty sure this is the same lenticular cloud that I shot with my pocket camera over on Lolo Pass road - a bit later in the day. Very cool!

That is a really cool shot Erik. Wonder what kind of BW this would make?

Great to see a post from you, Erik. Nice shot! Love the clouds and the reflection in the lake. Way to follow your hunches-- good detour!

Nice Eric, those are some amazing clouds. I’ve seen them, but have never had the opportunity to capture them.. Great job.

Beautiful scene. I like how the higher clouds seem to be racing toward the mtn. Looks like it could use a slight boost in contrast.
