Vernonia Logging Show 2007

This is the second year I've been in town for the Vernonia Logging Show. The local newspaper, The Independent, let's me help him out with the photography and I get free run of the place. All I have to do is stay out of the way  I always have a blast doing this, and I usually come away with a few cool shots.

These are just batch converted using canon utilities, so the quality is so-so. I took over 600 images in all. I culled out 121 for this slide show, and when I get time I'll cull them down some more and incorporate those into my regular gallery.

Please enjoy...

Those are pretty good, Curtis, you have a lot of nice shots there, action shots that I'd be proud of.

Thanks for the comments. When I'm in the field shooting nature shots I'm constantly checking the LCD, so I'm rarely surprised when I get home. But there was so much constant action at the show that I rarely looked at my LCD screen. So I was pleasantly surprised by how many good shots I got, when I started culling them.
