The fields have just been harvested & the bails have been stacked ready to be picked up by the local farmer. Great opportunity for a short photo shoot with one of the Barn Owls I have the pleasure of working with.
The sun was shining so out we went into the field.
This is one of the many shots I came back with.
The Barn Owl selected was Gyzmo, he is the founder member of our Centre.
With regards to the shot, some might prefer the Owl facing forward, here I went for the Owl looking out into the fields. I do have many others at different angles & levels, this one I do like but that is purely a personal taste.
Thanks for looking

Another lovely image Vince - he's looking well
Been sat in a stubble field myself all morning trying to photograph Jackdaws with little success and a small dose of heatstroke!! - Glad to see you've fared better

The level of detail is superb, and I like the unusual composition.

Hi Vince
Very nice, great colours - I think this would look great with a wideangle up close showing the harvest scene as a BG late in the day!

Hi Vince
The combination of colours is wonderful to look at. An unusual combination, barn owl and blue sky, but it works very well. Very attractive image, lovely detail in the whites.
cheers
