This time with a bit more action going on. I've never been able to get a Buzzard at all except for Gigrin. In Devon, they move if you get within 100m of them. Don't know if that's just Devonshie Buzzards for you??

Great action shot of a stunning bird-very nicely taken

Hi Graeme
Excellent flight shot. No real nits, only improvement might be a more interesting background or some prey in the shot but otherwise very nicely caught.
The action and focus of the bird are great, I do feel that you could crop a little from the right in this instance and perhaps clone the shadow on the ground just behind, it might give just a little bit more depth if you see what I mean.
All the best

Phil, great idea. I feel it's a bit more impacting thanks to your suggestion. Is this better? It's taking it away from a landscape format and more square as I have no room at the bottom unless adding canvas which i don't fancy to be honest. Does that matter?

Hi Graeme
The repost definitely has more impact. Good idea, I prefer the 2nd version.
cheers

Cropped or not this is a beautiful image. The action is well captured and the detail excellent.

Hi Graeme
A great action pose - I like both versions but the repost has the edge!

Repost better for me too Graeme
I must admit though I don't like this anywhere near as much as your previous post - they look a lot more powerful in the air with an all-sky BG (IMHO).
As BoP go the common buzz is a bit of a 'weedy' bird and there's just something about images from Giggrin when they are close to the ground that I'm never keen on, maybe it's the grass, I don't know
100m - you lucky git
Try a Cheshire buzzard - the only time you ever see them in good light is when they're up in the stratosphere, and the only times they are at a usable height is when the sky is the colour of coal and your exposure is useless.
But it's better than any buzz shot I've produced.
A most wonderfull shot, Grame. I'ts a very very diffcult shot to obtain (unless you use bait I guess). Furthermore it's beautifully lit. I prefer the first version.

Super shot, would not know how to choose between the two versions. Well done
