Well the heather is finally in flower.
Taken this evening in Dark Peak. Female Stonechat.
The wind was up (Force 4) so I only saw a few Grouse but when the wind droped the midges were fierce so a real Catch 22. Midge Suit being sought from Garage for next trip
There is a lot of JPEG compression to get this under 200KB i.e. level 8 was required.
Sean, easy-peesey. It is part of my weight loss program - I'm losing pounds...
In all seriousness it isn't that bad at all. Just be careful what you carry; those "Big Glass" bags are 1.5 kg less than a Pro Trekker so it is swings and roundabouts. The bag also carries better than in a lowepro Pro Trekker and I aint tempted to stuff more than I need in.

Nice composition, lovely colours, I see you now have your 600mm lens then, I bet that's fun lugging around the Peak District
