This is the same woman I photographed last year at this cliff, Kay Kucera. I was pretty happy to lead the route she was on, rated 5.11c, without falling. It was my third route of the day and the first time I've climbed in two years.
Again, D80, handheld while dangling on rope.

This photo is great - the rippling biceps and lats make the image. I don't fall on 11c either - I just never get off the ground.

Nice work Mark, climbing and shooting that is. Considering how much my hands tend to be a little shakey when I have climbed I would say this is real good!
You're on to something with these shots of climbers. Really good stuff.

Thanks,
Michael, I was real happy with it. Right at the end of the climb, is a small over hang, you have to clip a bolt at the lip but the hard part is when the lip is at your waist, the holds are small, the anchor is in sight but failure is a real possibility. My finger strength was waning and I sure as hell didn't want to fail. I hopped up a foot, dropped my knee to bring my body weight over my foot and suddenly life was good. I relaxed, founds some holds and finished it.
