Columbine Canyon
Finally getting around to processing a few images from my summer outings. Taken just below Indepenence Lake near Independence Pass. It was a rainy overcast evening and the sun broke through to shed a little soft light on the background peaks.

This has a classic Eliot Porter intimate landscape feel to it. Well done. :toast:

How about that. I was just there Saturday, but no columbines. Its a cool area up there and you caught a nice slice of it here. The shutter speed is nice for the stream. The only suggestion that I have is to crop a little off the bottom to a 4X5 format.

I agree with Mel's crop suggestion. Aside from that, this is simply superb, Roger. Love the soft light and the arrangement of the columbines.

I would suggest a bottom crop to a square format, and then showing it larger. Very very nice photograph. Thank you for sharing.

Great shot Roger! I agree with the comp suggestion, but overall it's just a classic scene - well done. :toast:
