Hi Phillip
An interesting merge but for me it doesn't quite work. The birds are too 'similar' in flight position and it looks like some odd mirror image effect. Also the bird on the left is too close to the edge of the frame. I would consider cloning in some additional space to the left hand side and then crop a bit from top and bottom for more of a panoramic format.
Otherwise it is an excellent flight shot of the Egret, nicely exposed and the water texture and colour is nice. Interesting idea though with the merge.
cheers

Phillip, not seeing the originals I don't know for sure, but I'm certain one or the other would have worked a tad better - Sean has said what I was thinking
I just love the way the egrets primaries are in the water - needs no 'padding' with fancy PS techs

Hi Phillip, If you didn't say that these were two images merged together I wouldn't of known. Great honesty & well joined together. More canvas on the left to fly into would of made it look alot better IMO.

Great symmetry, I like it - although I agree that it needs a little more canvas on the left and a bit more of a pano crop would work well!
Hi Andy Leighton moss RSPB down at the Eric Morecambe pools there is also three spoonbills, there is also a osprey on the main reserve with three Marsh harriers, if you follow the links to my web site and go on to today's gallery you can see the single images of the little egrets.
Phillip.

A most unusual shot and yes, more canvas and pano format might get it just right
