D2xS + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
Gitzo tripod taken this evening.
Yet again this Wren or Wrens appear to be nesting in the ivy at the side of my house.
Wanted to see what results I could get from Nikon at 800 iso., as its something I normally wouldnt consider.

Iso800.
1/320 @ f7.1.
Tone comp less contrast.
Colour Mode II Adobe RGB.

Hi Major

Great shot. I was watching a Wren in my garden this morning, such small and difficult birds to photograph so you have done well here. Sharpness, detail and background colours are fantastic. I might consider just cropping a fraction from the bottom, I think this might improve the composition, for me anyway.

cheers

Sean

Cute shot and a super BG :toast:

There looks to be a bit of a sharpening halo around the beak on my monitor Major

The detail captured here Major is awesome, maybe a bit to much on the beak area as Andy pointed out, slight nic pick but still a great image of a cracking little sprecies.

Is that a dodgy foot he as acquired?

With regards to the two tone background, I do agree whole heartedly with Sean, cropping, I like it the way it is.

Like it alot

What a sweet shot. It looks as if she has an injured foot but I presume she is perfectly able to manage.
