The latest single and double mat actions are ready for download at http://www.ryandesjardins.com/download.htm.

There is just one action to download that contains both single and double mats.

I did some tweaking to the single mat to match some of the stuff I did with the double mat. Both have built in stops so you can adjust mat and frame size.

The latest version has the following actions:
Single White Matte/Black Frame
Double White Matte/Black Frame
Triple White Matte/Black Frame

Single White Matte (black core)/Black Frame
Double White Matte (black core in outer matte)/Black Frame
Triple White Matte (black core in middle matte)/Black Frame

Custom Single Matte (prompts to set colors for matte and frame).

Coming soon in version 1.6
Custom Double Matte (prompts to set colors for inner and outer matte and frame).
Custom Triple Matte (prompts to set colors for inner and outer matte and frame).

The action is still free, those of you who paid, thank you!

Enjoy

Single mat action result with default settings on an image with the longest side 500 pixels (you can do larger or smaller images, I used 500 as a base)

Very nice, Rayn, thanks for doing this. Now, how about some Emmie photos?

Okay, okay Mark...here is an example of the double mat with an Emmie photo...she'll be 6 months old on the 25th. It's flying by.

Thanks Ryan! I'll feature this for a week or so, so that everyone has a chance to see it.

I've added a .zip file to hopefully solve some of the cross platform issues (Mac vs PC) that have been happening. Could someone with a Mac try downloading the .zip and let me know if that works better. It has to be expanded after download, but I'm hoping that solves the problem.

Very cool Ryan. I had made a primitave form of this action, but yours is much more trick. Thanks for sharing.

The .zip file worked fine for me, I'm on a Mac.

Emmie is so cute! She looks happy too, that real obvious, she knows she's getting love.

Ryan, everything is working fine except I keep getting a "the Texturizer Command is not available" message.

Ah, the Texturizer filter is only available with 8 bit files. The frame looked fine without it so I'm not worried.

Mark, I think you found the problem with the texturizer, if you had a 16 bit file you were using I believe it will puke. The texture is so fine, I'm not sure its necessary, but I kind of like it there. You could uncheck the texturizer line so it doesn't run with the action and you won't have to worry about that in the future.

Emmie is a very happy girl. She just smiles and laughs all through the day from when she wakes up in the morning to bed time. She sleeps from about 8:30pm to 7:00am and it starts all over again. She's a total blast.

One more note, I had an incorrect hyperlink this morning that did not point to the latest version. That has been fixed.

Very nice Ryan, thanks for the time and effort you put into these.

Eric, you are welcome. I'm really enjoying the development of this (yes, I'm totally geeking out), and have more that I'm working on in a variety of areas. I've got a pretty nice macro that creates a "35mm Slide" with whatever photo you'd like in it. I've got some basic photo editing actions I'm working on, and some artistic ones as well. I enjoy sharing them.

Thanks for giving them a try.
