Weather in Ireland this summer has been appalling. So good photo days have been few and far between. Managed to get out a few days ago and got this Hopper. No idea of species. I think it could be the Common Field Grasshopper. Canon 20D, Sigma 150mm, Ringflash tripod.
A nice image of a Field Grasshopper ( Chorthippus brunneus), perhaps a shade tight for me, but that is personal, nicely done.

Hi Michael
A good image of this insect. Whilst the background is fine a more diffuse background would help to seperate the subject a bit from the background and give the image a bit more impact.
