I got lucky this weekend on an early morning hike to Sky Pond, and found Lake of Glass really like glass!

Nice, Paul. How long after sunrise is this? I've wondered if this area gets much light right at sunrise. I hiked up to Black & Blue Lakes Saturday and did not find the lakes up that way calm, although it didn't matter for what I was shooting.

Might I suggest darkening the sunlit areas of the mountain a bit?

Thanks, Tony - excellent suggestion! This shot was taken at 8:15 or so (I spent 45 minutes before that at Timberline Falls shooting away).
I got a later start today and was not at Black in time for sunrise, but I was amazed at how little wind there was.

Really, really nice shot, Paul. I don't mind the brightness of the sunlit peaks, but I might lighten the shadow areas on the right side a little bit. When do we get to see the Timberline Falls shots?

Thanks, Todd. I was surprised at how much water was flowing now, but given how hot it has been (high 80's in Estes Park yesterday!), I can understand why the water is pretty high for this time of year.

Nice stuff, Paul. I especially like the 3rd Timberline image with the green moss - very cool.

Very nice set of images Paul. I really, really like the first photo of the falls.

Thanks, Jesse and Scott, much appreciated. I spent a lot of time at Timberline Falls trying to find something that wasn't so 'overwhelming', as there is so much going on there. Next time I think I am going to go below that first bench, looks like a lot of potential there as well.
