Am just back from Svarlbard and trawling through my images. Had some great Polar Bear sightings. This one was taken from our ship, the Vavilov, about 7 one morning as we slowly negotiated the ice flows in Freemansundet. We saw this family and another straight after and were with them for about 4 hours.

Always great to see polar bears on here. A beautiful pose with the bears together. Would probably have a look at cropping either tighter into the bears or a panoramic crop in order to lose the water flow in the top of the frame. I hope you weren't on that boat that was hit by falling ice! Thanks for sharing
Great pose, Paul! It’s always good to see interaction between animals. And contrary to Elliot, I like kind of a "wildlife in landscape" image. Makes much more sense of a place than usual tight thing.
Cheers,
Marko

Lovely image Paul - I like it as it is without cropping
But if you look at the water closely you'll see the small ice 'bits' are all pointing downhill to the left - a bit of clockwise rotation is needed

Thanks for the comments, it does need a little work I think. Seems to have a bit of colour cast on here that I didn't see at home on PS. Will rotate it a little, didn't spot that it was "leaning" a little!
Cheers

How exciting it must be to see those great animals in the wild.
Nice shot, I too like the inclusion of a bit of the environs they live in.
Very nice, not an easy exposure, you don't give details... compositionaly I think I would have prefered for the heads to have been placed around the upper right third.... also prob another couple of rounds of USM for presentation on the web.
Must have been a fantastic experience....
