I'm staying at Bar Harbor the first week of September and I am Loon obssesed.Is there any place to shoot loons in Sept in that area?
I don't know if this is a bad time of year for birds or not.Any info at all would be appreciated.I'm already pumped for the scenics of Acadia and the Maine coast

I was there a couple weeks ago. I don't know much about loons, but I saw a couple on Jordan pond while hiking the Jordan pond trail. Unfortunately, they moved quickly, and all I got was it's butt before it dove for several minutes (and my family insisted we move on)

I'll be going to BAr Harbor 2 week of October - Don't know anything about the Loons there but thought I'd jump in and ask if there are any "must see" photo op's in Arcadia?

I've seen them as late as mid Oct, up in Pittsburg NH, so I don't think you're in any danger of actually missing then due to their migration. Good luck!!
