Side Creek
Up around Hood today I went on a Stream/creek mission to do some scouting for the fall....it was nice to see so much water up there this time of year...the Fall is gonna be amamzing....

this is not a main creek, but a side creek coming off the hillside down under the road into the creek...

I could have stayed up there all day but the sun came out and killed the light...

I liked this one because of the light coming through the top left.

I know the branches are dead and such but I am curious to hear your take on it....

This is a nice view. 11 creeks feeding into the main stream! Endless possibilities!

Like this one alot, water color and texture are perfect. It's busy but clean at the same time. :jump:

Darren,
I do think it's a good shot but since this is a highly photographed subject, I really think stream shots need to be exceptional for them to really work. This one may have a little too much bare branches which gives it a slightly messy look. IMHO

The water coming down in the cascade there has a really nice form. I like the luminance in the foliage along the top of the cascade as well. I'm not a fan of the bare branches, either, but I do keep coming back to look at this. I think it's the fine detail back in the leaves that keeps attracting me.

This isn't a particularly magnificent location but, the comp works well to me. Very well done.
