Captial Peak Here are a couple of shots from my trip before last from the southern end of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. As I was taking these lightning was crashing down around me, I probably shouldn't have still been up there but oh well.

Thanks for looking!
Jody

Pentax 67II, Fuji Velvia 100, Singh Ray 2 soft ND.

Sweet light and a great job showing the rugged character of a great mountain. Your high mountain work is awe-inspiring!

Stunning, Jody.

I really hope to make it to Maroon Bells some day.

Great light in that first one. I like the lighter foreground too. Very nice - as usual! :toast:

Great shots, especially the first one. You captured the mood of the area.

I was near that spot on a hike in the late 80s, and if you were where I think the shots were taken from, there are some meadows with great late season flowers (Late July-Early September).

Great shots, especially the first one. I've never seen Capitol from this angle before, majority of photos are of the north face, the south face doesn't see the same amount of foot traffic

Beautiful images! I really like the little bit of sunlight on the first image.

Wow - that first image is sweet! Man - you must be on a mission to wear out your boots this season huh?

Yeah, I don't see any place I would have liked to have been sitting with lightning crashing down; you got your money's worth, though, and then some. The spotlighting on that first one is outstanding.

You get capital from a bank. But your shots of Capitol Peak are great. That's one of my favorite angles on this great peak.

One of my favorite mountains. The first shot is really nice. It's good to see another view of the peak plus the surrounding area.
