San Juan/CB flower trip photos
Here are some photos from my late July trip to Shrine Ridge, the San Juans and Crested Butte. I went to American Basin, Ice Lakes, Stony Pass, Molas Pass and Yankee Boy Basin in the San Juans and Washington Gulch Road, Paradise Basin, Robinson Basin and Gothic Road in Crested Butte all within five days. I would have liked to have had at least twice as long to hang out in the area more. The photo above is of little pink elephants in Yankee Boy. More photos from the trip and other recent photos are available in the photo galleries starting at the link to my Web site below. Hope you like them!

Hey Joshua - sweet images! Aside from those in the thread, I really like the images from Ice Lake, Poverty Gulch and the Yankee Boy tree line silhouettes! The American basin images are really nice as well - you had some great light while you were there! Looks like it was a great trip all around.

Nice work. I especially like the way that the flowers in the second and third images visually echo the shape and color of the clouds in each respective photo.

Looks like you had a good trip. The paintbrush shot is my favorite. I like the way the flowers echo the shape of the mountains.

Cheers,

Nice collection Joshua, the weather definitely cooperated for you. I really like the Grenadier vertical sunset and the pink American Basin sunset along with the two you have in this thread. Five days in all those places and you had superb conditions at all of them. Wish I had just one good sunset for the five days I was in the San Juans, maybe next time.
