first 1D Mark III-Buzzard Sequence
Hi Guys,

Oh Yessss.....I finally got the long expected 1D Mark III and started out testing the new toy yesterday-evening.

One of my favourite subjects (as you might know from older postst...) are Buzzards. And so i went of to shoot some Buzzards as i knew there are a group of 7 hanging out in a field nearby. And where there are 7 Buzzards, you can be sure there's gonna be some fighting going on for perches etc.

And so i placed myself and waited for them to give me some action. And they sure did!! As a way of testing i used 800 ISO as i was very curious after the results and i could use the speed. Well......let's just say i was stunned when i came home and saw all frames i shot (about 12 or so) where tack sharp and ISO was hardly visible!....

This is a sequince of one of the Buzzard fights wich excists of 4 frames wich i stitched together. I am looking forward to my next trip....

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Could you imagine getting a shot like this for real! I think I would have to have my mandible removed so my jaw could hang on the floor! I still think this is superb. Very nicely done! :toast:

Jeroen,

That's really great.

I can't say I've ever watched buzzards fighting, I'll look out for it now though.
