This is a flywheel and linkage from what I believe was a steam engine at the the North London Mine along Mosquito Pass road. The North London Mine and Mill are an interesting group of structures, consisting of a large mill house, tram system and transfer station to move ore from carts to the tram buckets. Lots of details to shoot in these ruins. This is particular caught my eye for the red and orange tones.
There was a large array of mining facilities along Mosquito Pass ranging from simple mineshafts to cog railways to mills of various ages.

Named after Chris Noth, the actor who played Mr. Big in the Sex and the City series. (I swear I've never watched a minute of that show!)
Would be interesting, and rather Voninski-like, to see this converted to b&w.

I agree Mel, the rusty tones and detail are interesting. Nice find.

Sorry about the typo. I thought you were only after the too bright reflections Todd.
It was actually Mr. Voninski's stuff that inspired me to look for my own while was up there. While I find his B&W work on this subject to be outstanding, my personal tastes lean towards color. I was headed up to Mosquito Pass with some fellow jeepers, so I thought this would make a nice side project while I was up there.
