I've got a bit of bee in my bonnet over these damn birds - can I get some decent shot can I heck
There's a group of 5 - parents + 3 young but they are very scattered over a big area that takes in 7 farms, and you can't predict when or where they will appear - and I can never get close enough.
This is from this afternoon, grim light and a big crop 7.8Meg from 12,but it was the best I could manage.Birds was perhaps 80 yards + and about 100 foot up - not so many thermals for them today, usually they are 'specked out' with their own callsigns on Manchester approach radar!

I think I'll have to go to Gigrin and get the buggers out of my systems
For a big crop this still looks mighty impressive.
Hope you get the shot you're after, which I've no doubt you will.

Indeed, pretty impressive shot, certainly considering the crop. I do like the pose.

Hi Andy,
I certainly know how you feel these birds have been eluding me for over a year now, despite my efforts in getting close to them. I would be very happy to have this, a very nice image considering the crop.
Well done for staying patient and coming away with a long over due result
Regards
Rob

Hi Andy
For a big crop it still has good detail and I like the pose and view point!

Andy,
Even though it's a big crop there is still bags of detail.
Hi Andy you can see the big crop has just lost the edge on the detail and sharpness but not sure if it is the graininess that is causing this, perhaps Chris Lloyds suggestion of neat image will do the trick, still nice image though

Still looks good Andy. Love the pose and composition. Very nicely done. Agree with trying a bit of NR. Gigrin is THE place for Buzzard opportunities I have found. I'd get up there soon as I understand there can be 300+ Red Kites over the winter and isolating any bird with one or 12 not in the BG will be difficult- and also those bl**dy Ravens get evrywhere!! Prior to going to Gigrin, I have loads of 1 pixel images of Buzzards. I too find them very frustrating birds

Sounds like a similar situation to what i had this afternoon with these chaps {just five frames, and binned the lot
This is a very fine result, and i would bite your arm off for something similar

May be run neat image or some other noise reducing software on it and you will have a cracker!
