Just a quick and hearty congratulations to Marc Adamus for being featured in this article. Seems especially appropriate, since Marc seems to be a master of the GND. Congrats!!

Just got through the article as well, really highlights your work well! I wish you continued sucess...it's certainly well deserved.

I'd also like to thank you for long providing insight into your creative process on this site. Nothing earth shattering in the magazine for those who follow along at NPN :toast:

Congrats again Marc. I do like how the article is not long and drawn out. I must say that I can understand using filters on camera to save exposures (I still plan on trying that someday, but dont fully understand using the filters AND doing Photoshop. The process of blending 2 exposures in PS takes me all of 30 seconds. it's just CTL-A, CTL-C, and then CTL-V...click on the mask tool, then do your gradient blend. You can flatten from there or work the two exposures seperately if need be.
I dont think either one has an advantage over the other...so the debate is almost pointless (IMO). Either you want to fiddle with filters in the field, or on the computer. Each takes relatively the same amount of time to perform.
This isn't an arguement or meant to take anything away from Marc's process/success. It works extremely well for him and that's awesome.

Grats bud! I loved the article. That's very similar to the technique I've come to use, although I admit I still combine bracketed exposures quite a bit even without NDs. Big congratulations on all of your recent publishing success! :toast:
