Hi,

At the end of the day I decided that as I still do not sleep well a long drive to Rutland probably would not be a good idea, I embarked on the short drive to Sevenoaks where the Kingfishers are now showing well, not very imaginative I know, but I do find it hard to plan properly at the moment, I guess give it another couple of months and things I hope will improve....

This may be the same juenile female that Szekiat posted recently...

All the best for the rest of the weekend

Hi Phil,

A beautifully sharp crisp photo that is well up to your usual high standard,:toast: :toast:

I also decided to give Rutland a miss this year, there didn't appear to be half the photographers exhibiting this year that were there last year, nor did there appear such an appealing selection of lectures this time around, besides the weather's not ideal.

Wonderful shot Phil, and ideal light {and use of} to reveal the full range of tones and details of this bird.

Hi Phil

Perfect composition and pose - I also love the BG!

David :toast: :toast:

PS Phil I did notice the colours looked a little subdued and unlike you you forgot to convert to sRGB

Colours are too muted for me, for such a colourful bird, but nice pose all the same..

Muted colours or not still a great shot.
