What an intriguing looking place and an excellent image.
Love the combination of the three main elements of icicles, falling water and the two large blocks of ice in the foreground.

Wow! What a sight that must have been! You've captured it very well Marko - the coldness of the place certainly comes through.

Very much like this. I love snow and ice anyway combine this with moving water and you have a winner in my opinion. If I had one very minor gripe it is that I think it is just a bit tooo blue and could be desaturated a fraction. I am well aware that this is probably the reflected colour from an overhead clear blue sky in open shade. Just seems a bit too much that's all. Great shot.

Cold? Really? Love this. I don't think we'll ever see a site like this in the UK again. A very cool photograph!

Hi Marko,
What a stunning looking image. Agree with Elliot that icicles are probably a thing of the past in the UK, shame really as I used to love breaking them off as a kid a licking them like an ice lolly
Thank you folks for your replies.
It was -14 that morning, and I had interesting experience of frozen up ground glass. That was probably the most annoying part of taking this photo .
Ian, blue colour in shaded ice is very personal thing. I like it blue, and was very pleased with Velvia 100f's blue-in-the-shade performance. In ideal world, I would use Provia 100f, but 5x4 film is increasingly difficult to find around here .

As Justin said the elements are all there in one
I will never complain about -4 Celsius again
Wonderful image
