This lion was having a bad hair day. he had to jump in the river to avoid the buffalo then got back home to find his Mrs shagging a toyboy. Naturally he gave them both a good mauling.

PMSL . Your comment to your post has really cheered me up on a cold wet evening.
An interesting bit of behaviour to capture, there was a bit of video posted on youtube recently of a whole herd of water buffalo kicking the ass of a pride of lions after they had a go at a calf.
Interesting photo indeed. It looks a bit washed out, so some playing in PS might even improve it. And while you are at it, I would eliminate that log in front of a lion.
