Not great photographic art, but a great view from near Blue Lake deep in Glacier Gorge. The view from this spot in amazing, and I wanted to capture something of what it was like. 8 shots stiched from the 5D, covering > 180 degrees. Does something like this work w/o sunirse light or clouds?
Tony - I think this is a pretty cool shot, despite the lack of sunrise light and clouds. The shadow line across the image helps give it more punch and depth. Great example of what can be done with stitching!

Does it work? Work for what? Works for me, as it's a great reminder of a spot that I happen to love too. A very impressive high alpine view that few people get to enjoy. I see no technical issues, apart from very slight banding from the pano stitch - almost impossible to avoid in blue sky pano stitching. The shadow bias seems a bit green to me. I'd expect more blue, considering the open sky.

I like the shot too. Just a technical note: In firefox, when you click the picture to view a larger version, it displays below the main gallery thumbs but in a manner that can not be scrolled. Even at 1920x1200 on my laptop, I couldn't view the larger picture. This may not be an issue in IE.

Very impressive spot. I don't spend much time in RMNP, but always enjoy my time there. Looks like a new place to add to the list.

The shadow area of the foreground caught quite a bit a light reflected back off McHenry in addition to the sky, but I do think you're right that it's a little bit green.
Kalin - I have noticed that smugmug has issues with Firefox. Seems to work fine in IE.
