I just got a call from Scott Avetta, president of MoNEP (Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers). They arranged a deal with Art Wolfe to come to St. Louis on Sept. 15-16 and present a two-day program. They convinced him to reduce his usual fee of $289 down to $200 and then $165 if you are a member of NANPA, ASMP, or a senior citizen. I qualify in two of those categories...

Information and registration can be found here

We don't often get someone of his calibre to come to the region!

Don, do you know what's considered "senior"? I get the senior coffee price at McDonalds (over 50), and I'm an AARP member...

Bill, yep, "Senior" is a pretty loose term. A friend of mine called Art Wolfe's office and said that he was 59 and an assistant told him that was close enough. So, I guess 60 is their senior rating. It sounds like you have a few years to go... :frown:

Senior is a good thing. I also called Art Wolfe's office and told them I had signed up but had not known about the "senior" discount. She wanted to know how old I was and I told her I was over 60 and that should qualify for the discount. I mentioned the senior breakfast at Denny's and the McDonald's coffee deal. She said that worked for her and they would process the refund as soon as the account lady returned from vacation on the 10th. Who says getting old is all bad!!!!
